John Samuel Hagelin (born June 9, 1954) is an American particle physicist, three-time candidate of the Natural Law Party for President of the United States (1992, 1996 and 2000), and director of the Transcendental Meditation movement for the United States.
A former researcher at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) (1981–1982) and the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) (1982–1983), Hagelin is now Professor of Physics and Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy at Maharishi University of Management (MUM). He has conducted research into unified field theory and the Maharishi Effect. His position on consciousness and its relationship to the unified field is not accepted by other physicists.
Non-academic positions Hagelin holds include an appointment by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi as Raja of Invincible America, president of the David Lynch Foundation and Honorary Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Maharishi University of Management.
The Tao of Physics
by Fritjof Capra, Wildwood House, London, 1975
"…challenges much of conventional wisdom by demonstrating striking parallels between ancient mystical traditions and the discoveries of 20th century physics."
The Dancing Wu Li Masters: An Overview of the New Physics
by Gary Zukav, William Morrow and Company, Inc.; 1st edition (1979)
"…is the bible for non-physicists who want to know about quantum mechanics, particle physics, and relativity."
Quantum Reality: Beyond the New Physics
Anchor; First edition (February 20, 1987)
One of the best-kept secrets of science—a veritable skeleton in the science closet—is the fact that physicists have lost their grip on reality. Quantum theory is the most comprehensive and accurate theory known to man, describing nature at all scales from quark to quasar and forming the foundation for numerous technologies including lasers, semiconductors and nuclear power. But the price physicists have paid for this powerful theory is the loss of an overall picture of how the world works. “Who could have imagined”, Einstein once remarked about this reality crisis in physics, “that we would come to know so much yet understand so little?”
“How the Hippies Saved Physics: Science, Counterculture, and the Quantum Revival,” by David Kaiser, associate professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, W. W. Norton & Company; (July 16, 2012)
"Fritjof Capra, who made his fortune with the countercultural classic “The Tao of Physics” (1975) was part of the Fundamental Fysiks Group, as was Nick Herbert, another dropout from the establishment who dabbled in superluminal communication and wrote his own popular book, “Quantum Reality: Beyond the New Physics” (1985). Gary Zukav, a roommate of Sarfatti’s, cashed in with “The Dancing Wu Li Masters” (1979). I’d known about the quantum zeitgeist and read some of the books, but I was surprised to learn from Kaiser how closely all these people were entangled in the same web."
I think that to find the answer to “Why Physics and Yoga?” is also to find the answer to “Life, the Universe and Everything.” And so, it is a life-long quest.

The Hebrew translations of the Zodiacal symbols in the Sephiroth:
1 Kether = Pluto; 2 Chokmah = Neptune; 3 Binah = Saturn; 4 Chesed = Jupiter; 5 Geburah = Mars; 6 Tiphareth = Sun; 7 Netzach = Venus; 8 Hod = Mercury; 9 Yesod = Moon; 10 Malkuth = Earth
Inputs to the network flow simulation can be derived from the following:
A running simulation of the planetary positions by date: (Digital Orrery)
A running simulation of the phases of the moon by date:
I don’t think that we have an existing application for tracking the motion of the Sun along the Ecliptic —
Although it is related to (the inverse function of?) The Equation of Time and the Precession of the Equinoxes.
How do we quantify the positions of the planets? (Relative to…? We have Constellations in Mathematica code, although they do not appear explicitly in the Sephiroth) Phases of the Moon? (What are the astrological “Houses” of the Moon?) But, I think that we have all the information necessary to compute planetary positions, phase of the moon and Sun’s position along the ecliptic for any date. (E.g., birth date,
Quantites in a Network Flow simulation are generally some sort of “cost” of traversing a given edge. What are the quantities which flow between the nodes in the Sephiroth? How do you compute the output of the network flow? I think that it is, generally the “path of least resistance”, over all of the cost functions.
